Sponsorship aligns with Broad Reach mandate to enable top female talent to pursue fulfilling and meaningful careers while balancing the demands of their personal and family lives

TORONTO, September 11, 2013—Broad Reach Communications, a Toronto-based public relations agency, is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the 2013–14 Deloitte Women of Influence Luncheon Series. This sponsorship is aligned with Broad Reach’s commitment to enable top female talent to pursue fulfilling and meaningful careers while balancing the demands of their personal and family lives.

Today marks the first luncheon of the season, featuring Arianna Huffington, chair, president, and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post Media Group and co-founder of The Huffington Post. Huffington will discuss a range of topics, including women’s advancement, fearless leadership, redefining success beyond money and power (the Third Metric), and the launch of four new global editions of The Huffington Post.

Broad Reach joins other luncheon sponsors that champion women’s advancement around the world, such as Deloitte, Jones New York, Knightsbridge, BMO Nesbitt Burns, Shoppers Drug Mart, Bell, and Queens School of Business, The Globe and Mail, and Maclean’s. Together through our sponsorships, we allow Women of Influence to drive an important cultural shift in the workplace which will help women achieve gender parity, contribute to economic growth, and have rewarding careers. More than 20 luncheon events are held each year in nine cities across North America: Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Waterloo, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, New York City, and Washington, DC.

“Broad Reach is proud to support Women of Influence in playing a crucial role in the development of workplaces that allow both women and their employers to succeed,” explains Andrea Lekushoff, president of Broad Reach Communications. “We are also thrilled to join forces with the industry titans that are spearheading the advancement of professional women throughout North America.”

Broad Reach has also been retained by Women of Influence as its public relations agency of record. In this role, Broad Reach will help Women of Influence to raise awareness for its core mandate – providing women and companies with the tools they need to transform their workplaces and shatter the glass ceiling from both sides. In doing so, Broad Reach will promote Women of Influence’s corporate consulting services on gender intelligence, professional and executive leadership coaching services, events, and media offerings (a quarterly magazine, blog, and other online content).

“We are excited about and grateful for Broad Reach’s sponsorship,” said Carolyn Lawrence, president and CEO of Women of Influence Inc. “I view Broad Reach’s business model as an example for professional services firms around the world to follow. As more organizations begin to see the value of encouraging talented women to enjoy both fulfilling careers and rewarding personal lives, Broad Reach’s model will undoubtedly become increasingly prevalent. It’s not only the future of work; it makes great business sense.”
